Jack Perno's statement about BLACKJACK:
Sometimes an idea will just reveal itself without premeditated thought, as was the case with Blackjack. I was shooting portraits for CS magazine’s Men of Style and one man had such a powerful presence that I asked if he would allow me to photograph him for my Portal works, which he happily complied. He is a physician. We never crossed paths again which seems to happen with people.
