Jack Perno's statement about LOGAN'S PORTAL:
Logan was a young girl whose family lived near my house in rural Michigan. While visiting her parents, she showed me a fairy costume that she had created. It sparked an idea and a few weeks later, a small commando team of artists went into the forest and created a story about a winged fairy attempting to flee back to her home when the Portal revealed itself again. As is often the case, there was only one image where all of the variables came together and worked. The light, the Portal and her timing all had to be synchronized for the illusion to work effectively. I was very fortunate to get this one.
Jack Perno's statement about THE PORTAL SERIES:
A gateway from one place to another, a world, a time , or to an expanded awareness.
Each image is a story or narrative, which susceptible to multiple interpretation, encouraging the viewer to derive their own conclusion and personal meaning.
